Like most musicians who do session work, my musical background is extremely scattered. I started playing rock, punk, ska, funk, pop, metal and blues in highschool before studying jazz academically in my home country of Canada and then New York City. Since setting up shop in Toronto in 2014 I have added a healthy dose of reggae, klezmer and Persian music to the mix as well. Rest assured, no matter what kind of song you send me, I will find a way to support it with the tasty low end it deserves.
